Résumé

This paper analyses the links between Organizational Citizenship and Counterproductive Work Behaviors (OCB and CWB), using both the moral licensing and the moral cleansing theories in order to suggest a reconciliation of these two perspectives. After a reminder of the theoretical grounding, the methodology and the results of a field study conducted in an industrial organization in Poland are presented. We identified three groups of employees: “cool guys”, “good citizens” and “at ease bad apples” and suggest three corresponding processes of links between their positive and negative behaviors.
