Discrete Event System Control in Max-Plus Algebra : Application to Manufacturing Systems

Résumé

This paper deals with control of industrial systems which can be depicted by timed event graphs. A methodology and software tools are presented to allow engineers to implement automatically controllers in PLC. Three steps are needed and recalled: the modelling of the system in max plus algebra, the design of the controller and the implementation in a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. An example on a real system is given to illustrate these steps.
